The USDA Food Composition Database contains ingredients and basic nutrient composition for hundreds of thousands of foods. Meanwhile researchers across food, nutrition, and biochemical sciences continue discovering and publishing new bioactive molecules. Panelists in this session will explores the current state of food composition science and standardized databases and the potential for including newly discovered biomolecules and their bioactivities into standardized databasses.
